This battery uses manganese dioxide as the positive active material and lithium metal as the negative active material. Oxidation-reduction reactions occur during discharge, lithium ions migrate through the electrolyte to deliver electric energy to the external circuit.
For the above-mentioned non-rechargeable portable batteries, the minimum average duration stated is derived from generic continuous resistive discharge test to 2.0 V cut-off voltage under test conditions in accordance with IEC 60086-1. Such test data serves as a general performance reference and does not represent runtime for any specific end equipment.

Safety Warnings and Cautions
- Never charge the battery, charging the battery will cause the battery electrolyte to boil or increase the pressure inside the battery. As a result, the battery may leak, heat, explode, or catch fire.
- Keep away from small children and consult a physician immediately if swallowed by a child.
- In the unlikely event that the battery electrolyte gets into your eyes, rinse your eyes immediately and thoroughly with water and consult a physician.
- In case of intake of battery electrolyte, rinse your mouth thoroughly and consult a physician immediately.
- Do not heat or throw into fire or water for disposal. Do not disassemble the battery at will, as doing so may damage the seal, which could cause fire, heat, leakage, or explosion.
- Do not let the positive (+) and negative (-) ends be short-circuited; keep away from metals or other conductive materials. Mixing the battery with metals or other conductive materials and making direct contact with the positive (+) and negative (-) ends of the battery will cause a short circuit in the battery.
- Insert the battery in the correct direction of the positive (+) and negative (-) ends.
- Forced discharge is prohibited. Forced discharge will generate significant internal gas, which may result in battery swelling and leakage, or even explosion in severe cases.
- Do not mix old and new batteries. When replacing batteries, it is recommended to replace all batteries with the same brand and model.
- Exhausted batteries shall be promptly removed from the device to prevent over-discharge, leakage and equipment damage.
- Do not immerse batteries in water or store them in high-humidity environments for a long period.
- If the battery emits odour, generates heat, discolours, deforms or exhibits any other abnormalities during use or storage, immediately remove it from the device and dispose of it appropriately.
- Do not mix batteries of different types, brands, or with significant capacity differences.
- Do not expose batteries to extremely high temperatures (e.g. direct sunlight, close proximity to heat radiators).
Waste Battery Prevention and Management Information
Pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 (the Batteries Regulation) and Waste Framework Directive 2008/98/EC, guidance on waste batteries for end-users.
Role of end-users in waste prevention
Use the battery in accordance with the equipment manufacturer’s instructions. Avoid storage and operation under extreme temperature or high humidity conditions. Remove the battery if the equipment will remain idle for an extended period to prevent leakage of internal substances and self-discharge. Dispose of spent batteries at official collection points for material recycling.
Role of end-users in separate collection
Waste batteries must be collected separately from household waste. Do not dispose of them together with unsorted municipal solid waste. Separate collection allows for the recovery of valuable metals including lithium, manganese and steel, lowering environmental impacts and supporting the circular economy.
Separate collection, recycling points, reuse and disposal
Collection channels for waste batteries include battery collection bins at retail outlets, municipal recycling centres and officially designated collection sites. Collected waste batteries undergo sorting and pre-treatment, followed by material recycling to maximise material recovery rates.
Safe disposal instructions for waste batteries
Do not store waste batteries alongside metal objects to avoid accidental short-circuiting. In the event of electrolyte leakage (white crystalline residue), bulging or overheating, wear protective gloves and place the battery separately inside a plastic bag. Never dispose of waste batteries in open fire, as this may cause explosion and release of toxic fumes. Keep waste batteries away from children. Seek immediate medical assistance if ingestion occurs.
Markings and symbol meanings

Crossed-out wheeled bin symbol: This symbol indicates waste batteries must not be mixed with household waste and require separate collection.

CE marking: Affixed by the economic operator that places the product on the EU market. It indicates compliance with relevant EU health, safety and environmental legislation.

Keep out of reach of children symbol: This symbol warns that button batteries pose a fatal risk if swallowed. Keep button batteries away from children.

No-charging symbol: This symbol indicates the battery is non-rechargeable; charging is prohibited.
Impacts of substances on the environment and human health
Improper landfilling or incineration may cause leakage of internal substances, resulting in soil and water contamination and accumulation of such substances in the environment. Swallowing button batteries may cause severe internal chemical burns; the batteries shall always be kept out of the reach of children. Arbitrary disposal of waste batteries wastes recyclable metallic resources and creates a high fire risk during waste treatment operations. Leaking batteries can cause chemical burns; waste batteries shall be handled with caution.
